Good Year

It is almost another year, 2008 coming up in just a few days.

We have a new daughter in law, Grace Challies Frye and she is just what this family needed. She is loved by all of us and is a joy to be with.

Cooper Maclaine Chappelear is four months old and is a happy camper finally. He had a difficult (as we all did) first three months of his life with reflux problems which we hope will contine to improve as it has been lately.

Christmas Day and it is a quite one. The weather was not very nice outside, was rainy and cold.

Chuck has had a very good year with his work at In Town Gallery on Frazier. I am always eager to see what he is going to be painting next.

God has been so very good to us. We are so very fortunate to have our children living close and caring about us.

We will see how this year goes. Perhaps I can become a better blogger. Seems like time is just not available to slow down and record bits and pieces.

Still miss Martha dearly. Christmas is not the same without her smile. Gene and Richard are not in good health and were not able to visit with us this year when we invited the family into our home on Sunday, day before Christmas Eve.

Good News

Soon "I will be able to say..."Let me tell you about my grandchild. Yes, not just a grand dog life anymore. Looking forward to the date of September 15. Beth's due date. Best news of this year so far!!!!! Beth and I went shopping on Saturday and enjoyed the day together. She is so lucky to find that this year's blouse styles are "peasant" and "empire". All other women who are in style this summer and fall will be wearing clothing that looks just like what she will need to wear.

Snow is predicted for the am and then some icing afterward. Hopefully by noon the roads will be safe. I do hope that everyone will stay in their homes and not put our brave workers of rescue in danger.

Thank you Justin for the use of your cap last night. I had forgotten how much warmth can be held in the body with a "night cap". I will be looking for one to wear at home on days and nights like we have had recently.

Beth, the Massari Wood All Stars are in today's Catoosa County News. "Rocked The House" is what it says they did! Congratulations all the hard work and extra time has paid off.

I bet every child in Catoosa County Schools is listening for news of school closings in hopes that they will be able to sleep in tomorow and avoid getting out in this cold weather. I bet there are also several teachers doing the same.

Enough for tonight, getting sleeping after being in the hot tub. Was a wonderful night with the cold air and the hot water.

Welcome

It is January of a new year and one of my resolutions is to stay in better touch with family and friends. Please check in often and let me know how each of you are doing. If you have an e-mail of a family member or extended family member who may be interested in staying in touch with us please send them the address to this blog. Happy New Year. Someone in this family has already had a birthday this year. My, my how time........

I would like to know how Chris and Joy's new home is coming along.
I would also like to know when Suzy will be home to visit.
I never get to see Eva, and I know she can figure out how to use this blog to check in occassionally.
I STILL have dishes that belong to others on the washing machine from the Christmas get together.
I hope to help Nina get e-mail connections soon. She has RTC Internet now.
I bet Paul and Astra can read this blog.
We know which family members will run circles around us in using this blog.
Tell me your favorite Christmas memory from your childhood.
