Long delay in posting

It's been a long time since I posted. It has been a sad time as my brother Richard Silvers passed away at the end of November. I was amazed at how many people our family did not know that came by to visit and had such wonderful things to say about him. Richard had been a speaker for a wonderful Celebrate Recovery group at Oakwood Baptist Church. The number of people he encouraged is amazing. I always thought of my brother as a bit shy but after hearing the stories of what Richard meant to this group I no longer feel that way. He will be missed and I ask that you pray for his wife Betty who does not see well at all and told me that "Richard had been her eyes for so long to find the items she always misplaced". One thing their daughter Eva told me that made me smile was "he and a friend of mine beat the socks off of mom and me in Rook two nights before he passed away". Richard I will miss you dearly and I loved you very much. So glad you were able to move to Chickamauga and make so many new friends.

Christmas with a new meaning....books for Cooper, one for each day he saw the tree I put up for him. Chuck and I let him open a book daily and I think he liked the paper in the bag more than the book. That was initially....now it is definitely the books. Today he hung onto my legs as I was going back to work after lunch and wanted me to read him another book. I love that little man! Love his mom too, such a great daughter who keeps me tired just trying to watch all she gets done.

Justin and Grace.....I do hope Grace will begin to feel better and will be able to enjoy this time as a very special one that God has given. Boy or girl we are looking forward to a very special gift from God. I think I was the last baby born to the house on Kittle Street. The front yard was fenced in so Gary and I would stay out of the traffic as we learned to walk on the front sidewalk and later learned to roller skate. Hope you will have many wonderful memories in the place you now call home.
